Geoff Callan is an award-winning actor, writer, director, and producer with more than 30 years of experience across film, television, advertising, and digital media. A fifth-generation San Franciscan, Callan has built an unusually versatile career in entertainment, seamlessly balancing dynamic on-screen performances with an accomplished track record behind the camera.

Spanning more than three decades, Callan’s acting career encompasses both comedic and dramatic roles alongside some of Hollywood’s most recognized performers.
He recently joined the cast of HBO's limited series Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America, appearing in Episode 7, "Lawrence". Directed by Jeff Schaffer, the episode features Callan in a scene with Larry David, Fred Melamed, Romy Reiner, Neil W. Casey, Lisa Arch, and Joe Regalbuto —a production Callan regards as a career highlight, expressing deep gratitude to Schaffer, David, producer Adam Feil, Higher Ground, casting directors Allison Jones and Emily Buntyn, and the entire team.
His extensive feature film credits also include memorable roles in The Pursuit of Happyness opposite Will Smith, Hemingway & Gellhorn opposite Nicole Kidman, Bottle Shock alongside Chris Pine, Zodiac featuring Mark Ruffalo, and Twisted alongside Ashley Judd.
Behind the camera, Callan is the founder and president of Emergency Clock Productions, where he has directed and produced feature films, acclaimed documentaries, short films, television programs, Super Bowl commercials, original web series, and international media campaigns.
Notably, he co-wrote, co-directed, and produced the feature documentary The Push: Owning Your Reality Is Where the Journey Begins, which chronicles Grant Korgan's historic feat as the first spinal-cord-injured athlete to push nearly 100 miles to the South Pole. The inspiring film earned multiple accolades, including Best Documentary at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Best Feature Documentary at the Long Beach International Film Festival.
Callan also co-directed and produced Pursuit of Equality, an award-winning documentary exploring the landmark 2004 marriage-equality movement in San Francisco featuring figures such as Gavin Newsom, Rosie O'Donnell, Al Sharpton, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Throughout his career, Callan has earned significant industry recognition, including GLAAD’s Local Hero Award, being named an Innovative Leader in the Creative Industry in Independent Filmmaking by 7x7 Magazine, and being hand-selected by Sony in 2013 to compete as a director in the Napa Valley Film Festival's Sony 4K Film Challenge.
Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Producer of One World Network’s new-media division, managing video and web production while also serving as Director of Business Development and Director of Syndication.
Today, Callan remains actively engaged in the industry, continuing to act in film and television while developing new projects as a writer, director, actor, and producer.
